JD Interstate Transport is a family owned and operated business based in Nowra that has been providing prompt and reliable freight services for over twenty five years. Starting out small, as most family owned businesses do, today we employ 32 staff.
We transport all sizes of freight, whether it’s just one pallet or a B-double load, our experienced team ensures your freight is delivered safely and on time, and we offer excellent service at a competitive price. We are renowned throughout the East coast of Australia for our professionalism and commitment to moving large quantities of freight between Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
With a fleet of twenty prime movers operating with either a single trailer or B-double trailers, being tautliners or flat tops, there isn’t much we can’t move for you. We understand your freight needs are important to your business, and our experienced team ensures your valued goods are taken care of, reaching their destination promptly and intact.
JD Interstate Transport has had a great working relationship with the Manildra Group / Shoalhaven Starches for many years. Being our main client, we work together to provide their quality products with a great freight service to deliver to their customers and their interstate depots.

JD Transport Driver Safety
At JD Interstate Transport we not only value the safety of your freight, but we take the safety of our people and other road users seriously as well. When you spend as much time on the road as we do, safety is the top priority. Our vehicles are installed with Navman GPS Tracking systems. This gives us the ability to keep an eye on your freight and our drivers at all times.
Driver Standards
We pride ourselves on being responsible and compliant within the transport industry. We are accredited under the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme for Maintenance Management, Mass Management and Basic Fatigue Management. We are also a member of the National Road Transport Association, keeping us up to date with the latest changes to rules and regulations in the industry.
